Sunday club run
Every Sunday, rain or shine, the club meets at the Beverley Leisure Centre for a ride that leaves at 9.00am sharp. A friendly welcome is guaranteed, as is a good stretch of the legs and possibly a cafe stop if we’re feeling lazy. We’re back in Beverley by 1.00pm at the latest and usually cover between 40-70 miles depending on the weather, group, etc.
Average speed 16-18 mph
Tuesday night chaingang – March-October
Meet just by Royal Standard on North Bar Within at 6.25pm on Tuesdays for a 6.30pm departure. It’s usually one hour or so on quiet roads in the Wolds, ‘tempo’ or faster, depending on the mood and the turnout.
Average speed 18-20 mph
Thursday night ‘blood and guts’ ride
Meet just by Royal Standard on North Bar Within at 6.25pm on Thursdays for a 6.30pm departure. This is intended as race training and will be either a fast chaingang or interval sessions depending on who wants to do what. (Please note we’ve switched this from Tuesdays. All is explained in the forum.)
Average speed 20+ mph
***Winter notice – if you’re joining us on a ride in the winter months, please be sure to sport a decent rear mudguard. We only like getting muddy in cyclocross races.***
