Boggle Hole 2011 - Saturday 1st October

The annual road trip for VC Beverley members is now arranged - shout if you're coming (if you haven't already emailed me a reply).

We usually leave around 1pm on the Saturday and are back lunchtime Sunday. It's a 60-mile ride each way, a scenic and interesting route taken at a very leisurely pace, mostly, with winter bikes/tandems/old nails highly recommended. And the evening's entertainment in the fleshpots of Robin Hood's Bay is not to be missed.

Poised between the end of the racing season and beginning of the winter training season, it's the one occasion in the year when we actually ride for fun...

Count me in for this! I reckon a slight route change on the outward trip should be made so we can stop at a cafe instead of milling round on a garage forecourt like a bunch of waifs and strays!

Good point about the route, Gary. I'm a fan of the Dalby Purple caff for either the out or the back. Good cakes etc., must explain why the MTB riders are so porky.

I'll give the route some thought, any ideas gratefully received...

Sorry you can't make it Chris, we should get a pub ride date in too so you get the one chance in the year for a bike ride that is not primarily about suffering.
