For any website visitors wondering whether anything at all has happened since the news article announcing our summer road race winner, this post is a quick round-up of news in what is traditionally a quiet time in the world of road cycling.
Boggle Hole 2012 – our annual away weekend was the biggest ever, with 17 club members making the annual trip up to the YHA for a bit of end-of-season R&R. The new home page pic shows most of the the gathering. Ye Dolphin in Robin Hood’s Bay coped very well indeed with our insatiable demands for food and beer.
Cyclocross – there’s been plenty of the muddy stuff going on, the highlight of which was Pete F-S and Rich C both completing the 3 Peaks Challenge in its toughest edition for 30 years. Both riders got to the end despite monster mechanicals and apocalyptic weather. We’ve also had some good results in the Lincs evening league in October and one or two Yorkshire Points League events, with Ben, me and Droppy also riding. With Matt now owning a ‘crosser and Martin S looking to return to it next year, we could have 6+ active racers for the 2013 season.
